SWRCB PROPOSITION 13 GRANT:
SANTA CLARA ARUNDO REMOVAL
PLAN (SCARP)
The VCRCD has taken the lead to
prepare programmatic environmental documentation (CEQA/NEPA) and a
long-term implementation plan in order to
perform giant reed (Arundo donax) and salt cedar (Tamarix
spp.) removal in the riparian corridors of the upper Santa Clara River
Watershed. This project is funded by the State Water Resources
Control Board (SWRCB) Proposition 13 Grant. Many agencies and
organizations are collaborating on this exciting new venture. If you

VENTURA RIVER ARUNDO REMOVAL
DEMONSTRATION PROJECT
The Arundo Task Force and the
County of Ventura are working together to demonstrate the need for giant
reed (Arundo donax) removal and to demonstrate removal and revegetation techniques.
The project site is located in Casitas Springs adjacent to the Community
